What you should know about the Aunties
The Aunties were originally set up by Arif Usmani in 1982, when he took up the position of organiser of a newly established Artwork project. The Aunties are children's entertainers based in Auckland and have produced a staggering amount of material over the years, including over 30 major two week seasons of theatre shows at venues such as the Concert Chamber, Downstage Theatre Wellington , the Pumphouse, the Bridgerway Cinema, Auckland Girls Grammar, the Maidment Theatre, Aotea Theatre and the NZ National Maritime Museum
For 30 years the Aunties have been entertaining, educating and fascinating young audiences with their original, professional, magical, imaginative and interactive child centered shows. As before, in times of vast need a teacher of the Cosmic Tradition comes among st humanity. The children explore elements of space and the body's relationship to it by low, temperate and high levels of movement.
The Princess and the Goblins CD has songs and music from a packed length musical, which has been one of the most popular of all the Aunties productions. The International Whaling Commission ICC is the body in charge of deciding if whales are to be hunted or protected. From the beginning of time mankind has celebrated life and their love for the Earth, through the art of dance, drama and song. As human beings we are now being called upon to be co creators with God and the Goddess.
We have been gifted at this time on earth with a teacher who has incarnated with the divine energy of both the God and Goddess within him. Mermaids also have a wonderful light hearten energy that reminds us to play, laugh and enjoy the beauty of the water realm. Waiata Reba CD is clever with songs from the South Pacific which are based and inspired by ancient legends yet the songs are new and accessible. Movements are pretty when they are instinctive to a child and inspired by a child's soul and inspired by nature. The Earth is a living entity and mother of all life everything in nature is active the huge breathing mountains, trees, plants as healthy as the birds, animals and man. They will be run by Lynn Usmani Madame Salami who has had over 30 years experience in children's musical theater, and loves busy with children.
It is time to get back our sensitivity and ask for their assist to bring us a greater understanding and love of Nature. We the people of Fresh Zealand wishes to divulge our urge for an end to commercial whaling in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. The children loved every tiny of the reveal especially the story about the fisherman. These workshops will also help stimulate and inspire the children's own spontaneous creativity.
The Aunties have interwoven audience participation, dancing, singing, delightful stories, magic, puppets and live animals with the aim to engage and foster a child's own instinctive creativity and imagination. We also need to thrive our spiritual potential to be of profit to others and to aid Mother Earth. Madame Salami is guaranteed to be a hit at your following event or birthday party in Auckland!
