What you should know about Pinehill School
Our team of around 40 teachers and support staff take great pride in providing the best quality learning environment for our children. I am proud of the positive school culture that exists at Pinehill School which is supported by students, staff and parents. Sarah Ward Deputy Principal During my years as an educator, I have taught children at most levels and continue to be motivated to learn and find ways to improve our school and student achievement. The classroom is a place for students to experience learning in a creative and fun way for all types of learners.
I believe we are all lifelong learners and am super excited about helping our students along on their learning journey. Margaret Menzies Room 3 I have been teaching at Pinehill School since 199 and have taught New Entrant Year one for the greater part of that time. Learning is a life long journey and I enjoy working with children, supporting each of them as they grow and learn. I feel very honoured to teach Year 1 students and be the first teacher, on their journey, to life long learning.
I came to Pinehill in 2016 and am fortunate to be leading the Year 3 team and learning this year with a class of students curious about how the world works. I was fortunate enough to join the Pinehill community in January 2016 and I am currently in the Year 3 teaching team. I am thoroughly enjoying teaching the wonderful children at Pinehill School and also being part of such a great community. Karen Seth Room 15 I am a New Zealand trained teacher who has taught in schools around Auckland and in Scotland over the last 20 years or so. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping students learn how to learn across all areas of the curriculum.
Lisa Leader Room 16 My teaching career began in 1998, in Wellington, where I continued to teach except when I taught in the Middle East for years. I live a full and active lifestyle having a passion for sports and the arts. It is the shared beliefs of staff, students and our community about the expectations we have for the social interactions we engage in as part of the day to day operations of the school. Our commitment to the active teaching of the Caring Curriculum as part of our learning journey acknowledges that our children can be expected to formally learn these values.
The Board is very pleased with Tracey’s performance and have been working to ensure that Tracey is well supported, which has included having a mentor as part of the First Time Principals’ programme
