What you should know about NZ Body Art Awards
Following the success of the precious eight years, preparations are well on the way to creating the ninth annual NZ Body Art Showcase. The NZ Body Art Showcase is an important fundraiser for the NZ Body Art Trust, attracting local, national and international participation and audience, with the potential to be the most significant body art event of is kind in the Southern Hemisphere. The NZ Body Art Showcase provides a platform for those who wish to pursue a career in the field of makeup and special effects, highlighting New Zealand as a mecca for the film and television industry, promoting high level creativity, performance and entertainment. On the back of the international success of creative New Zealanders, especially in the film field, there is impetus to capitalize and build on successes by developing events which work in with this and celebrate, encourage and reward creative excellence.
Body painting festivals happen annually across the world, bringing together professional body painters as well as keen amateurs. Body art has not been very well known in New Zealand before that, but it came into people’s minds with the Lord of the Rings trilogy being filmed in Aotearoa. The 2017 NZ Body Art Showcase is our ninth event, and over the years we have showcased hundreds of artists work from all around New Zealand and the world
We want to keep the Showcase originate to participation by everyone, so we are now seeking donations to promote the 2017 NZ Body Art Showcase. Air Brushed Body Art sponsored by Minifies Particular Commendation Magdalena O’Connor 1st runner up Nicole Heydenrijk.
The NZ Body Art Showcase is not only a spectacular exhibit of exceptional effects makeup and body art, but maximum importantly, a fund raiser for the Fresh Zealand Body Art Trust. Body Paint 1 Brush Sponge Body Painting themed carnival’ 2 Airbrush Brush Sponge Body Painting themed flight’. The NZ Body Art Trust would like to put together some workshops earlier the 2017 Body Art Showcase, but beginning we need your feedback. Completing model registration doesn’t guarantee that you will model in the show, but we will be qualified to put you in touch with artists who are looking for models.

More than 25 companies derived a profit from sponsorship of our last event, and we would love for your company to be involved this year in helping us support Fresh Zealand as a center of expertise in the art of body art, makeup and particular effects makeup. The NZ Body Art Believe would like to put together some workshops prior the 2017 Body Art Showcase, but first we need your feedback.
