What you should know about Natural Light Solutions
There is nothing straight forward about architectural buildings everything is customised. And this is why architects and specifiers enjoy working with us we have the ability to visualise how an idea will look and work. For example, we were the first New Zealand skylight manufacturer to develop roof windows for low pitched roofs. The Len Lye Museum in New Plymouth illustrates how we bring practical solutions to a project.
To enable large artworks to be lowered into the museum through the roof, the architect specified a 6m x 3m roof access hatch. So, why go to the expense of mechanising the hatch? Our solution was considerably more cost effective. Clearlight continued manufacturing until Natural Light Solutions took over all aspects of manufacture, supply and development in 1998
The client was happy with the result and, maximum importantly, he was optimistic that they wouldn’t leak. We design and manufacture bespoke skylights, roof windows and roof hatches for almost any application.
They have been installed in schools, commercial industrial buildings, council utilities, residential homes and honest about any other type of building you can think of. Through our Cameo, Hi Spec and Root brands, we can supply skylights for any application. Made for New Zealand conditions New Zealand’s environment can be severe on buildings particularly the mighty sunlight. Through our partnership with leading roof hatch manufacturer Porter and our own Cameo brand, we present a expansive range of roof access options. Cameo skylight bases are made from extruded PVC with insulating cavities, which prevents condensation by creating a thermal break.
In 2015, we were approached by the architects, Patterson Associates, to see if we could reach up with a more cost effective solution. At Spontaneous Light Solutions, we present roof windows for any application residential, commercial or industrial. They are also available in standard, low flow and tall flow ventilation units. As well as the roof access hatch, we also built a number of electrically actuated ceiling doors
