What you should know about MArian McDermott School of Dance
The selected students have studied both contemporary dance and ballet for many years and regularly attend 6 or more dance classes each week. One Step Beyond presented We Caught Me’ a labor choreographed by Grace Woollett, a Marian McDermott School of Dance tutor and also an unite contemporary dance graduate and former OB company member. 30pm 5. 00pm One Step Beyond contemporary Technique 7. 00pm 8. 30pm Advanced Ballet. In 1995 Marian established the Marian McDermott School of Dance in her home suburb of Torbay and this school grew so rapidly that in 2004 she rather reluctantly had to make the decision to conclude teaching at the PAS so she could condense the Torbay dance school.
Each year Marian works solid to produce wholly clever and very creative ballets for her ever growing school big-hearted all the students an opportunity to perform on stage in ballets designed specifically for them. Rationale One Step Beyond was founded in 2008 to create opportunities for a group of talented, committed and dedicated senior students at Marian McDermott School of Dance in Torbay, Auckland. Grace Woollett B. Zara is traveling to Taiwan where she has been awarded a three month dance residency. In 1990 she established the highly popular community ballet programmed at The Performing Arts School of Fresh Zealand.
Ballet is a vast way to retain fit and is such a certain store to spend some time exercising with such lovely music to dance to. Marian also trained and worked as a Primary School Teacher and has found this training useful in her lengthy ballet teaching career. Owner and Principal of Step Beyond Studios Marian McDermott has been teaching ballet for 29 years so far! She studied in Wellington, attained an advanced smooth in ballet training and went on to perform both ballet and contemporary dance. Emma has been learning ballet at Marian McDermott School of Dance now Step Beyond Studios since she was five years old and contemporary dance since she was nine. Hasty Bird Fees are for fees paid at or before the student’s first class only.
The One Step Beyond notable fund raising show Escape Artists held at the Torbay Community Hall on September 21st and 2nd 2014 was a large success. OB labor with professionals from the contemporary dance industry and are given opportunities to choreograph dance works as well as perform. 1st Class being maximum priced class pay in stuffed 2nd and 3rd classes 10 discount 4th class and over 20 discount
