What you should know about Mairangi Swim School
Her expertise as a teacher was recognized by our national association NZSCAT Swim Coaches and Teachers of Fresh Zealand in 2007 with the Fresh Zealand Swim Teacher of the Year Award. Our School Holiday Intensive programmed places school aged children into skill groups and takes the children through our programmed. Wendy has always enjoyed busy with children, and loves teaching them how to swim. The Swim School is warm and gracious our team is committed to providing swimming lessons that receive store in a sure learning environment, where teaching is effective and the focus is on learning to swim well.
Chelsea joined the Mairangi Swim School in 2014 with 16 months Swim Teaching experience. Crow is a preceding competitive swimmer she trained at the North Shore Swim Club for 7 years and competed at a national slick both open and age group and also represented Fresh Zealand. The School maintains high standards as a Swimming Fresh Zealand Quality Swim School. Our teachers either in or out of the water will develop a programmed based on the child’s ability and on the goals of the kid or parents.
Whatever the starting ability of your child, our teachers will prosper their water confidence, swimming and water safety skills promoting sensible behaviors and respect for the water. The staff are sociable and accommodating, they know the challenges of timetabling swim lessons for multiple children Mairangi Swim School's standard has not been achieved by any of the other swim schools I've been involved with. Marian’s interest in swimming teaching began as a 14 year worn helping her father to teach children to swim, and from her experience as a competitive swimmer. The School programmed consists of 7 levels not including Transition, focused on developing efficient swimming strokes, whilst promoting basic water safety skills, sensible behaviors and respect for the water.
Learning new skills at this age can be sensitive for learners so our classes are taught in a warm and nurturing environment. The award-winning Mairangi Swim School builds essential water skills with learn to swim classes for babies, toddlers and kids of all ages. The superior learning occurs when the teacher is effective and the learning environment is welcoming, warm, cordial and fun. Our Baby and Toddler and Duckling programmed Our lessons are group lessons facilitated by our teachers. Our goal is to ensure that children have all the necessary skills to be able to enter a swimming club with a capable level of aptitude in all strokes.
Baby and Toddler classes are a unique time for parent caregiver and child to bond, learn water safety skills, have mirth and build water confidence. Linda began teaching at the swim school in 1990, and has over 15 years’ swimming teaching experience both in NZ and England. She enjoys seeing the constant improvement in the children’s aptitude and ability
